BECOME A RED CROSS VOLUNTEER
Every eight minutes the American Red Cross rushes to help people who have lost everything to disaster. A volunteer carries out 90% of the humanitarian work of the Red Cross. This is accomplished by helping a displaced family or thousands of people, providing care and comfort to an ill or injured service member or veteran, or teaching others how to respond to emergencies. Ordinary people can do extraordinary things!

If you are interested in lending your helping hand to any of our ministries of serving as an Usher, Communion Server, or Greeter, please speak with Bruce Carr. Your smile and willingness to share your talents in serving the family of St. John’s on Sunday mornings will be very much appreciated. Please assist in one or more of these ministries of service and welcoming!

PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION, 2026 – 2027 SCHOOL YEAR NOW OPEN
St. John’s Preschool has begun open enrollment for the 2026 – 2027 school year. Enrollment forms and information packets are available in the church office.
UNITED CHURCH FOUNDATION ENDOWMENT FUND
The Endowment Fund was started in the 4th quarter (Oct. – Nov. – Dec., 1997) with an investment of $1,500. Only interest earned from this Fund may be used for the church expenses. The principal remains invested in the Fund.

CELEBRATING 170 YEARS IN MAY! WERE YOU MARRIED HERE?
Were you married at St. John’s Church on 9th and Franklin or at our present church? If so, we would like to display your wedding picture during our 170th celebration. Please give your wedding photo with name on back to the office by April 15th. Contact Jean at (219) 778–4789 if you have questions.
SANCTUARY CHOIR
St. John’s would like to have a choir to enhance our Sunday worship each Communion Sunday. We meet in the Choir Room. If you would like to join, please contact Dolores (219) 872-2441. Practices are before the Sunday worship at 9:00 a.m.
