There will be a mostaccioli & meatball dinner benefitting LaPorte County Deputy Jon Samuelson and his family as he continues his long road to recovery after being severely injured in June. Start cleaning out your closets, basements, and garages! Our church parking lot will be home for a garage sale, Saturday, September 19th, involving our church as well as other community members. More information to come!
ST. JOHN’S CHURCH PICNIC – AUGUST 30TH
Keep August 30th, after the 10:00 a.m. worship service, open for our St. John’s family church picnic! Friends & family are invited. There will be fun & games for all, even an ice cream eating contest! Watch the New Notes for more information to come.
WOMEN’S GUILD JULY 22ND THEATER TRIP –RSVP TIME!
If you wish to join the St. John’s Women’s Guild as they attend the play, “The Taffetans” please RSVP today to Karen Lawrenz (219) 872–5087 or sign up on the main bulletin board. The play will be presented at the Canterbury Theater, 807 Franklin Street, Michigan City, this Wednesday, July 22nd, at 2:00 p.m. Cost is $20. If 10 or more adults attend from our group, the cost will be reduced to $15.00. Everyone is invited – women and men!

PRESCHOOL NEWS
St. John’s Preschool will be opening in September for the 2026 – 2027 school year. We have limited openings in the Beginner’s class (for children turning 3 by Aug. 1, 2026), and in the Pre-K class (for children turning 4 by Aug. 1, 2026)
We will need the following supplies, and would greatly appreciate any donations. Supplies needed are:
- napkins
- 5 oz. cups
- hand wipes
- table wipes
- tissues
- paper towels
- copy paper
- liquid hand soap
- colored copy paper
