ALL-CONGREGATIONAL MEETING CALLED: TODAY, OCT. 26, IN THE YOUTH LOUNGE
An all-congregational meeting has been called for today after the 10 a.m. service in the Youth Lounge. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss amendments to our bylaws. Please make every effort to attend this very important meeting.
PRESCHOOL NEWS
The Preschool visited Garwood Orchards on October 2nd & 3rd. Everyone attending hand-picked a bag of apples, toured the processing plant and store, chose a pumpkin, and ate delicious donuts and cider.
Michigan City firefighters came to the Beginner’s class on Oct. 21st, and the Pre-K visited the station on Oct. 24th. Both classes learned about fire safety, and had a practice fire drill. Halloween parties will be Oct. 30th & 31st in Fellowship Hall. Families will play games, eat good snacks, and go trick or treating. It will be a fun day for all!
PEANUT BRITTLE, ANYONE?
Join our Guild project by making peanut brittle, selling peanut brittle, or simply buying and enjoying it for yourself! All together we can contribute to agencies in our community which serve others. We can make a difference right here in Michigan City! St. John’s will begin offering its famous peanut brittle at $10.50/lb. and just in time for Thanksgiving!
We will be accepting orders for our work dates of Mondays, November 10th & 17th, and Mondays, December 8th and 15th. Orders can be placed in the church office. Tell your family & friends all profits from the sale will be donated to community agencies or to St. John’s projects. If you would like to be a part of our team, a sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board outside the office, or you may talk with Kimberlee Russell.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO READ THE SUNDAY CHILDREN’S MESSAGE
Volunteers are needed to read a short story for the children in attendance on Sunday mornings. Please contact Kim Russell (219) 809–3770 for more information, or you may sign up on the bulletin board outside the office.
LITURGISTS NEEDED
We need your help in serving as a Liturgist! The number of Liturgists has dwindled and help is greatly needed. Scheduling for the upcoming 2026 Liturgists is now in process. Please call the church office (219) 872-9121 and let us know if you’d like to be put on the schedule. Thank you very much!
SALVATION ARMY PHONE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
