ST. JOHN’S PORTAL PANEL CARVING
The right panel exalts the wish of Jesus as He spoke through the words of John 17:21, “That they may all be one.” By placing the fish emblem in place of the word “they,” the artist invites all to identify with that early form of Christian identification. The individual is invited to become a part of the fellowship of Christ and to “put himself” in the fellowship of oneness. The fish also recalls the days of the early martyrs for Christianity and reminds us of their steadfastness and of their courage.

If you would like to include a 170th anniversary offering, there are blank white envelopes available on the table in the narthex to include your anniversary offering together with your name.

All members and friends are invited to join in our Bible Study group which meets each Wednesday morning at 9:30 am. If you have questions, please talk to some of our members––Ernie Dingler, Dolores Van Ulzen, or Karen Lawrenz.
We also have a Sunday morning adult Christianity 101 study group. Come join us! We have chairs and booklets waiting for you!
TREE OF LIFE
Have you looked at our Tree of Life in the hallway recently? Over 200 names are all part of our history, remembering the family members who gave their church love, hard labor and financial support. Since it is spring and blossoms are starting, we can make our tree grow too by filling out a Tree of Life form and turning into the office.
CHILDREN’S BOOKS & “QUIET BAGS”
We now have some children’s books and “Quiet Bags” in the narthex for our little ones to use during worship services. The Quiet Bags include children’s bulletins, and crayons are available also. Please feel free to allow your children to use these but please remember to return them to the back of the church so others may use them next week.
